Help buying new car... Suggestions....

Hey whats up everyone. Im currently 17 and a senior in high school. This summer ive been working full time and am starting to looking into a car to buy but there are so many possibilities i cant decide. I know this is a constant topic about debates over what car is better for the price but if youd just give me some help id fully appreciate it. I previously was thinking about buying a nissan 240sx but decided that i wanted more power, so i planned on getting a 300zx. But in the last couple weeks ive realized i wont have enough money to buy a good used twin turbo model pushing me into another direction for a car. My budget is going to be about 7-8 thousand. What im looking for is a rwd, fun to drive car, with a lot of power and good looks. Im not going to be a full time drag racer, drifter, street racer, etc. but i want a car that will hold up if i want to have some fun every now and then. I have currently been thinking about getting a nice muscle car due to the availibility and price but im not limiting my selection. Please leave some suggestions for what you think i should buy. Im currently driving a Ford Taurus SHO the only thing i dont like about it is the FWD. Thanks for the help.
