timing chain replacement on 81 cj7

i have replace the chain and am having a little trouble setting the timing, any hints?

Bring the number one cylinder to Top Dead Center-make sure its the compression stroke. make sure your distributor is point at #1. Your new chain and sprockets will have clear markings on them.
