Surfing At Work

Anyone know any good anonymous surfing sites? Or does anyone know how exactly proxy surfing is done? Because at work, they blocked off almost every site...so I need a workaround
thanks

www.anonymization.net

They didn't block that one, did they?

EDIT: That's the one I use, but seems to be a bit unreliable, since it's not up right now.

Re: Surfing At Work

Anonymous surfing doesn't exist anymore, do yourself a favor, stop your habits or you will get caught. If they are blocking sites and services, then they are definitely monitoring internet usage, and they ARE doing it for a reason.

I'm an IT guy and administer/control many networks... I've caught many a person trying to surf "anonymously"... Business internet is for business. If you were on my network and downloaded a virus from a questionable site, you would effectively be fired, plain and simple. Willing to risk your job for internet access???

Just some friendly advise...

Re: Surfing At Work

I've been surfing here at work, sometimes "anonymously" for almost a year now. Other people do it here too. We get our work done, so I guess that's why no one cares / no one's monitoring. Some places are still blocked tho.

Yes, I agree that surfing porn sites and such inapporpriate ones is not prefessional. But the stupid IT is blocking everything...even Google Babelfish to translate...That's all they do. They blocked msn.com/ca completely...which is stupid. Anyways, I do not download anything on the computers, it is mainly just to be able to surf the web properly
Anyways, if you have any helpful advice than post it, if not, dont waste the bandwith....
Yes the computers are being monitered...pretty much to make sure no one is visiting any porn sites or downloading stuff

Re: Surfing At Work

if they don't mind you surfing the net. then ask them to remove the lock on your account. how ever if they are just tired of people surfin while they should be working then you maybe shit out of luck. is it really worth sacrifising your job to surf?

Re: Surfing At Work

They dont mind people surfing the web...It's just ridiculous of what they are blocking. I'm 100% sure they will not fire me for this...There used to be some anonymous sites but I can't remember the good ones anymore
