Hello,
I have a 95 VW Jett with 165,000 miles on it. I recently had my oil changed and my oil sending unit a couple of months ago. My car had been running fine but just about 2 weeks ago my oil light would come on constantly after it warmed up to half way on the thermostat. I checked the oil and the oil level was fine. So, I took it in last week and had an oil change. I told him about the beeping and he said he would check on that. I picked it up later that afternoon and he stated that i needed to have my oil pump replaced. Is it a possiblity that my oil sending unit could have gone bad or needs to be adjusted. Just seems odd to me that this occurred a couple of months after I had the oil sending unit fixed. Steve |

Re: jetta oil pressure light
Why was the sending unit replaced at first. Which sending unit was replaced? Did he put on a mechanical gauge?
