Question 2000 honda accord 4 cylinder transmission

Help
When hot, my transmission will slip in reverse only and not all the time. Ive been told to drain all the fluid and replace 1 quart with Lucas oil. Does this model have a Fiter Screen and where is the drain plug? Also do I fill it through the transmission dip stick hole?

Re: 2000 honda accord 4 cylinder transmission

there is no filter.
drain plug is on bottom, it's not hexagon type drain plug, you have to use ratchet with 3/8" drive. no socket needed, just insert ratchet into drain plug.
don't use anything else but Z-1 ATF (honda fluid). i not sure how much you will need to fill up, it might be more then one quart.
if you have more then 36,000ml on that transmission and you did not changed ATF before, i recommend not to refresh ATF only, i recommend to replace ATF completely.
to do that you need to do same procedure as you would to refresh ATF, but do it three/four times with 10ml drives between refreshments.

And yes, you fill it thru dip stick.
