2000 GP wiper ?

Okay, I've done a search but didn't find the answer so here goes. The other day after driving in the rain (2000 GP SE, 153000 miles) I shut off my wipers and instead of returning to the down position they went all the way up and stopped. I tried turning them back on and off several times but they always go to the straight up position. Other than that they work fine. No tramatic injuries to the arms or anything like that, they just rest at straight up. Any ideas?

I have a 2000 GP SE and have had a lot of trouble with my wipers as well. Not working....one working the other not working and not swinging in a normal rythmn....causing a wiper battle in the middle of my windshield. Had them "fixed" several times but they weren't fixed at all. Finally, a service man at another non-Ponitac dealership looked at it and a nut and bolt was loose in the middle of both wipers (he had the hood up). He tightened it and I have not had any more troubles. You might check into it.

Take them off, it makes for a sweet custom look. People are always lookin at mine and they are like damn something looks different then finally they are like wtf thats sick.

Just keep like 50 bottle of rainX =D
