raced another vette
Yeah so I raced another vette...LS1...I didn't win this time...primarily since I blew 3rd gear, I definantly F***ed up the shift (yes I hit myself later), but the cool thing was, shifting from 1st to 2nd, I managed to actually chirp the tires. (sorry if that is nothing big, but I honestly never have, other than at launches, before in the vr4 and was somewhat happy that I finally did. My passenger thought it was the vette that did it first, but it was me. Like I said, sorry if it isn't the most amazing story, but I was happy.

To bad about the shift, but anytime you can chirp the tires of an AWD car, you're doing something right

Re: raced another vette
oh its possible, you just need a bad driver and or someone who doesn't know much about the car. i tell you that traction control slows them down. seen a guy run 14.0 flat in a convertible C5 vette.

Re: raced another vette
What's "chirping" the tires?

Sometimes just as your wheels start to get power agian after you shift there is enough power to cause the tires to loose traction but only for a second and that creates a mini burnout which is what makes the "chirpping" noise.

Re: raced another vette
99vr4 is the same as 94-98, other than a few cosmetical differences and VERY few engine differences, such as the lifters to eliminate that damn lifter tick. But the track times are the same throughout, roughly 13.6
zo6=ls6 meaning they are faster than ls1's. I think you may have your info a bit confused. some ls1's offer good races to vr4s, z06's rape us stock vs. stock.
