Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and figured this was the best place to get advice and ideas. I have a '94 VTEC Prelude with a JDM H22A. I'm looking to get a performance ECU, but I was wondering if knows the best place to look. I looked at Jet Performance but they don't give much informtaion. I've looked at a few others but they don't give much information either. I've also found chips for cars like the Vti-R Prelude in Australia, but I'm assuming that won't fit? Also, if there's an ECU for the USDM engine, will it work on the JDM engine? Thanks if anyone can help.

Re: Performance ECU
Any OBD1 ecu from Honda/Acura works on a Prelude. Civic, Integra, JDM, USDM, CDM, you name it. As long as it's OBD1. However, you want maps that are suitable for an h22a.
Hondata combined with a p72 ecu from an OBD1 Integra GSR would be your best bet here, however if you insist, you can also get a chipped p13. JUN, Spoon, and Mugen makes chips for the p13, as do several independent companies I know. Here's a shameless plug, but if you are interested, I am selling a JUN chipped p13 ECU that I'm letting go for $220 shipped in the US.

Re: Performance ECU
I just sent my old P12 ecu to get converted to VTEC for my Jdm h22a. The guy is also installing a skunk2 or spoon chip in it also for $200 canadian installed. Check out his site at www.racingchips.com
My ecu should arrive in a week. |
