Question I need Help - Buying a 1990 corrado

I was just wondering if I should buy this car... It is a yellow 1990 Corado G60 (I think) 4cyl supercharged. It was tastefully modified and is in great condition except the passenger door was banged into by a shopping cart. It's got 65,000 miles and runs great.

Also is there are any things to look for that usually go bad with these cars? and how reliable are these cars?...

Thanks,
Jamie

yeah i have no idea how old this post is but if you want more than one response i suggest going to www.VWvortex.com a great corrado forum, listen for grinding/disturbing noises coming from the supercharger, if the seller will let you disconnect the boost tube after the g60(supercharger) and see if there is oil in the boost tube... if there is be prepared to spend some money on a supercharger rebuild. other than that check it over like you would any other used car. good luck

No offence but unless you have some good cash coming in or yuo can work on cars they can be a real pain I ll give you a list of parts I have replaced granted you may have good luck who knows

Tranmision Manual
Starter
Alternator
Lots of electrical problems
battery
O2 sensor
wheel bearings
Front Control arm
Temp sensor
Belts
Shift Linkage
Exhaust
Oil presure sensor
hood release cable

Total costs to do yourself about $2000 to pay mechanic $5000-6000

Granted any mechanic that inspects the vehical can find most of these preoblems on a test drive be aware at least in the US the car I pretty rare and parts arnt real easy to find plus people want alot to work on them. Also if it has a factory radio be looking to spend an extra $100-200 on the install wiring is crazy on these.
