Re: 80 or 90z

That's a 88 turbo z right? If so, then i'd get the 88z. It's a decent daily driver and later when you want to make it faster you can just mod it for the extra hp. They both look nice and both will probably have around the same cost for insurance. If you want looks, go with whatever one you like best. If you want speed, then don't even bother with the z32.

uh what's wrong with speed of Z32? granted non-turbo is slower than turbo, but it still can keep up with many of the new sport/sporty cars. if you want extra power with higher maintenance, get the Z32 TT. otherwise non-turbos are just as good. about looks, uh need I say more? c'mon, even some diablo owners decided to go with Z32's headlights and front end look.

Re: 80 or 90z

a z32 n/a can keep up with a z31 turbo in the 1/4 mile. so a lot of it comes down to looks. if you like older styled cars, the z31, but if you like a sleek sexy look, the z32 (i'm not saying the z31 isn't sleek and sexy, just not as much as the z32).

Re: 80 or 90z

You better choose your words carefully, freak.

Obviously, I'd choose the Z31T....I did.

If you want a faster car, get the Z31T. Stock for stock, it might be close between the 2, but...the reason I say to get the Z31T if you want a faster car is that it's easier and cheaper to make it faster then it would be for the Z32. Less than $800 will get you goin with the stock Z32TT.

If you want looks, get the Z32. Looks are subjective, but most people would agree that the Z32 looks better. I think it does, despite my obvious adoration of the Z31.

All in all...for speed...get the Z31T...for looks...get the Z32.

Didn't you start another thread about this?

Re: 80 or 90z

The speed of a modded z32 n/a just sucks compared to a modded turbo z. In my post I said if he wanted more speed, he could just mod the z31. After modding the z31, the z32 really has no chance, other than modding the engine and having a big shot of nitrous or doing a TT swap.

Excellent choice!!
I love my 85 Turbo, she was pretty quick back when she ran right!! Do your best to find a 5speed.
Also, another thing to consider, the maintenence and upkeep of the Z31's are slightly less expensive than on the Z32's.

Just beware of "Bitching Betty", and the psyco headlight popping on thing!!!!! LOL

Good choice. You won't regret it once you feel the boost.

In the words of Dave Chapelle, "Good mother f**kin choice, mother f**ker!". Dave Chapelle rules.

Once you get on it and the boost comes on, you'll neeeeeeeeever look back. It's the best feeling. Once you HEAR the turbo, you'll never look back. It just rules so hard. The only thing is that kinda bugs me is that I think you're young...don't kill yourself with it...

*I* chose to go Z31T over Z32 N/A cuz I want a fast car, love Zs, and can't afford a Z32TT...N/As just aren't that horribly fast unless you put a ton of work and money into it because they're heavy and don't have the added power from the turbos. There are things I like better about the Z32s, N/A or not, but it's aight...I have my second Z31 now, and the only thing I regret is selling my first one.

As for Z32 N/A vs Z31T.....stock for stock, they're dead even. Both ~7.4 to sixty...mid 15 quarters. Less than $800 on the Z31T will put you into the low 14s in the quarter with the dash to sixty whizzing by in about 5.4 seconds.

Re: 80 or 90z

the z31 turbo does have lots of advatages over the z32 n/a, but i just can't get over the styling. the z31 looks good, but damn the z32 is soooo sexy and sleek in my eyes. and she is fast enough for me, when i want and can handle more speed, i will hopefully have enough money by then and swap a vg30dett into it.

damn i wish i could sell my car and get the tt zx, i could easily sell my car for 10k were i live and sell my stang and be able to get a 16k 300zx tt, with 16k ill be able to buy one kick ass tt if i looked really well.

But damn i got parents who know what turbos are....my mom had a supra tt...and it didnt help that i was in a bad car accident, i wasnt driving but it was my car ( '91 300zx). If the accident wouldnt have happened i would have gotten a tt this summer. But hell, ill just wait 8 more months and get me one.

Re: 80 or 90z

I do think the Z32 looks better...I think it handles better too But my 86T has bilsteins in it, so that's not really the case any longer. Be even further from true when I get lowering springs in it with stiffer anti roll bars and strut tower braces.
