the better driver. driving a ZX to its potential requires a sixth sense (it's a positive thing). granted, stripping some weight off the ZX would help a lot.

this would be a pretty close race. the rsx-s with a 6 speed might get you in the top end, but it is also fwd, so that is a bad thing, i say depends on the driver.

FWD wouldn't matter in this situation.

The Z wins on power, but the RSX wins on weight, so I don't know. Maybe the Z due to it's torque advantage.

Actually it would a little bit, because of the weight transfer under acceleration

Re: Who do u think would win on a 45 mph roll on a rsx-s or a 300zx na???

As your speed increases, weight issues are gradually replaced by air resistance issues. That is to say, the effect of the cars weight on acceleration remains constant for any speed (if we choose to ignore special relativity.. ) but the effect of air resistance on the engine's accelerative power increases exponentially.
Although the 300zx may be heavier (which is a real bummer off the line), it wins in the aerodynamic drag coefficient and in the power. This means that if both cars had the exact same power to weight ratio, as the speed starts to increase, more and more of the rsx-s's engine's power is going to be devoted to pushing through the air, and less is going to go into acceleration. I think that the 300zx is going to be the winner here.

Also, as LLTZ said, the VG engine has a flatter torque curve, which means that the gearing can be set up longer for higher speeds. However, I'm not sure of both car's gearing so I shouldn't comment.
