Engine cut out?

Ok I have a 1990 Ranger with the 2.3 manual. It has check engine light on, had codes read and it was the EGR valve and a fuel relay, replaced, disconnected the battery, still on. THe truck will be running fine and the engine cuts off for a split second and continues running fine for a mile or two and then repeats itself. Sounds like the engine dies/not hitting on a cylinder. I need ideas please, I just bought it last week and is in great shape other than the mentioned problem. Thanks

Talking Fixed

I had to replace the MAP sensor. Autozone's code reader didn't catch it, kept saying it was the EGR valve. Went to a buddy that works at a dealer and he checked for me and it popped right up. I am now a happy ranger owner!! Runs great.
