Goodbye Aurora Fans!

Well I tried and tried for the 1.5 years I had my 1997. Put more money into it than I ever expected. I LOVE this car but my deep pockets have been sewn up. Right now everything works, but for who knows how long. I hate to depart with her but nothing on this vehicle has cost me less than $400 to fix and IF you can get someone that knows how to work on it. Thanks to all the support I received on line here. I did get some excellent tips and saved lots of money....What it comes down to is just what one member here said....I hate driving a car that I feel may break down at any moment. It's up for sale if anyone is interested but the window for sale is short. CarMax here in Fla gave me a quote that I may accept if don't sell in next day. If interested, email me and I can call and we can discuss details.

Re: Goodbye Aurora Fans!

exactly! I'm dumping my Aurora and getting a Camry sedan or Solara. One look at Camry engine and it's simple, easy to reach design and you can easily tell what kind of SOB's designed Aurora and it's stupid coil-pack with an invisible bolt in the back that intentionally blocks 4 rear sparkplugs and wires that you have to change every 10,000 miles. A man has to be out of his mind to pay $37,000 for an Aurora when he can buy a Mercedes E-Class for $35000 or a Camry V-6 Loaded for $22,000. A new Aurora should be $17000, even at that price it's only good for 80,000 miles. Toyota is good for $300,000 miles.

Stop by sometime and see me when you are passing though.

Wait I see you are from Texas.........W country.........ant nothing came from Texas but queers and steers and I don’t hear you a mooing....

Old' W is getting all his Texas buddy rich now with the gas prices and contracts with no bottom line.

Answer me this, why does the price of oil go up in Texas when all the sandnigger's raise there prices?

Bye Bye "W" go back to your steers and queers......hahahaha

Making it there is not a problem. Finding your shanty out of so many may be a problem though. I think I will stay here, hey, do you have running water or do you use a bucket.

Got to admit it, thats funny...

Kidding aside, we spent 6yrs in Knoxville are and that was the best most relaxed time in our lives. Would have gone to your area but that was the next closest oportunity for us.

Good luck with the toyota.

Hahaha! Good luck with your boxy TOYOTA STEPFORD WIVES CLONE CAR!!!It's amazing how many people in our society are clones with Toyota's I'll be cruising in and out of storms and the coming bad winter with my aerodynamic shaped stealthy American classic!!! Oh and um I will be purchasing a warranty that will cover the rest of the years to back up the costs during the time I will keep her. Just because the marketing suits over at Oldsmobile did not know how to capatilize the concept of the AURORA does not mean its not as dependable as a Toyota! I had a Toyota cressida and maintained it and it had many parts replaced and was left stranded a few times. Also had a Nissan Sentra and that broke down a few times and there were parts also to replace that were almost or just as expensive. Alot of foreign cars on this site have many problems that I was surprised when reading them. Knock on wood never stranded yet with this car.

Re: Re: Re: Goodbye Aurora Fans!

Toyota Cressida you bought probably was an abused high mileaged one and sentra you bought is the worst car Nissan ever made.
I know how good 1992+ Camries are because have 1 with 300,000 miles that runs like new and as far as Nissans go, they're little lower quality than Toyota but My brother sold his 1986 Hardbody small pickup truck with 286000 miles and the truck ran like new, only part he changed was clutch after million shifts! so hold on to your Aerodynamic Aurora, also hold on to your extended warranty because you're gonna need it. For me, it's Only Toyota or Mercedes for now. Good luck.

Re: Goodbye Aurora Fans!

Trust me, I've owned 95 cars(truth) last 20 yrs including 7 mercedes and 5 Toyotas. I don't say these cars are Perfect, no car is perfect, they all get problems, but compared to all the other cars in market, it's been proven to me that Mechanically Toyota is #1 Mercedes#2 Honda #3 Nissan#4 Mitsubishi#5, Hyundai #6 Ford#7 GM#8 Chrysler#8 maybe with their new cars, this order changes in the future, but for now I'd stick to it.

Yeah I had a Toyota Cressida(Another money drain you could save and buy a house with what you spend on these cars) and was maintained to almost perfection and a Nissan Sentra and could not believe all the problems these 2 cars had even though they had a great reputation. Also know somebody with a VOLVO and that has a bunch of problems still and only has 120,000 miles and is a 1987. She keeps it maintained also but has many repairs.
