94 Grand AM SE

New to here and generally to cars, so please pardon my lag : )

so i'm thinking of getting a used 94 Grand Am, anyone have warnings, advice, etc?
very low mileage, standard, need to get around in it, maybe take it on some rugged outings

if anyone has better suggestions, do give, but keep in mind that i'm a starving student : )
