Should I go to the track?

I am too scared to go to the track because I think the car will run really slow. Or I will fuck up on a run.

anyone know where there are some Southern California tracks that I can tell myself I am going to go to and then end up getting too scared I am going to suck?

Re: Should I go to the track?

Just go man, at the very least for the learning experience. What is there to worry about? So what if you don't do good times, try launching at different rpms, different launch techniques. It's all about learning the first times you go anyways; no one runs 12's the first time they're at the track (unless they have a 10-11 second car of course). I'm considering going to the track myself in my stock CX just to practice launching good and work on reaction times before I do a swap; and I'm curious if my car will do better than 20 seconds that I think it'll probably run . If you don't beat anyone who really cares, it'll just motivate you to work harder on getting better the next time you go.

Go there. Then you can know for sure if you suck.

I just went to the track last week and there was an std hatch there. He was running 20's. All sorts of people run at my track. SUV's, minivans, all sorts of slow imports and domestics... A lot of people just do it for fun. You'll probly end up getting 15.5-16's
