Can you set the lights to turn off automatically

Hi,

I have a 1996 525 (e39), currently when turn the car off and open the door if the lights are on you get the buzzing as a reminder that you have left your lights on. It also drops the lights from low been to just your park lights , is there a way to make them automatically turn off when you open the door?
