type-s vs. modded civic si

i have someone with a civic si that wants to race me for some money. He has a 00 civic si with cold air headers and i think maybe a short throw shifter. I have a stock type-s at the moment. He thinks he can take me but i still think i have a lot more horses than he has with his mods. what do you guys think?

Re: type-s vs. modded civic si

He's running 160hp@7600 and 111lb.ft.@7000. Even with header, intake and st...you can take him. Show him the specs afterwards and tell him he's a complete retard when you take his money. Just make sure he's not turboed or anything. Tell us how it goes.

Re: type-s vs. modded civic si

DC Race Header and Injen CAI is a good combo, although Hondata would also be good.

And yeah, if itw as a base RSX he'd beat you, but you're going to beat him.

...If his a better Driver he'll take U...just cause u have the better car doesn't mean MUCH...his got a pretty good car 2...don't feel 2 cocky about racing him he probally has had that car for YEARS!! and he'll that really helps....so make sure not to feel to cocky and think ur all that cause Si's aren't a walk-in the park and second a "DRIVER IS HALF OF THE CAR"

Re: type-s vs. modded civic si

If you lose to an SI with those specific mods, you're out of the family...
