my transmission is leaking

my 1993 toyota 4runner v6 3.0L automatic transmssion. is leaking transmission fluid from the top of the transmssion it only leaks a little bit when the engine is off and it pours out when the engine is on. how do i fix it myself

If it is leaking from a fitting, you can try torquing (not just tightening) down the fitting to seal it. If it is coming from a gasket, you can torque down the bolts that seal the gasket and see if that helps. If it is leaking from a seal on a shaft, then you better bring it to a tranmission shop and have them deal with it.
