Very good as usuall. Rims look amazing, as does everything else . The only thing is the undershadow which looks a bit rough.

Re: Stingray - Color

looks like prismacolor pencil. great rendering as is expected from you.

everything is pretty spot-on except that the tires and rims/spokes (amazing rendering obsessively of spokes) elipses are off in very subtle but noticeable ways. for example, center hub/spinner cap piece of rear spoke rim is off-center, is too far down. speaking of same wheel, top of elipse is narrower than bottom.

front wheel is more accurate. but is off a bit. i nit-pick this because the error is distracting, albeit very subtle. you have gone all-the-way and have taken no prisoners here, so i will do the same.

these are about all i can comment about as a crit. you can easily make a living doing this kind of work. there is no doubt about that. start going to car shows and make business cards. i am serious. become a full-blown pro. do not 'sell out' and do something you do not really want to do. if this is really what you like, then do it. you will be ten years older in about one week. so get going.

Hi Alex,

Very very nice. I think Bonz pretty much hit it on the crit.

I esp. like the spoke rims.

I may need to take this advice.

Yup if you are serious you need to get on this art career because once you start your adult life (fall in love and all that stuff) it will be even harder to get into art because you will start living the American dream (life of debt) but that is another topic.

Hey if you consider art as a biz, you really need to educate your self about the world of biz. esp. art biz and law and all that stuff. I have a list of books if you want them.

Take care

al

Re: Stingray - Color

i will revise a comment i made "you can easily make a living..." yes and no. you can if you pursue it tooth and nail (with a bit of light-heartedness thrown in). you cannot if you think your talent alone will pave the way for you -it will not. well. it *absolutely* will not.

most talented people, and there are tens of thousands from guitarists to gourmet chefs, do not "do" it for a living.

Very good point. However, I think if you stride hard enough, dream hard enough, work hard enough, you can achieve almost any goal.
