Removing panel line mistakes

When I was filling in the panel lines with a gundam marker, my hand slipped and now I have some unwanted lines on the body. I used Tamiya's "Racing White" on the body and I don't have any of it left to paint over the lines. I am also afriad that if i sand it, some of the paint will come off. Is there any other ways to remove the lines?

Use Tamiya Thinner with a Q-tips
it work perfectly with gundam marker and won't affect the tamiya TS paint.

but don't wait too long, else the marker will be praticly impossible to remove

Sorry for getting in to your thread but I just wanted to know since we are on that topic. Could you use the same method when you use tamiya acrylic that was just painted on for the window rubber? Thanks

Tamiya Thiner will affect the X and XF series, not TS (spray)

If the Tamiya thinner is anything like rubbing alcohol it'll affect the TS-range as well. That is if you rubb to hard under a prolonged time it'll dissolve the TS as well. I used alcohol to get the paint of my 360 Modena this way and I almost ruined a Karmann Ghia trying to get glue ressidue of from Bare metal foil using alcohol.

If you don't rub like a freak, there is no problem.

Even Tamiya recommand this for doing panel line

Thanks for the tip Vric, I didn't have any thinner on hand so I tried using rubbing compound. It acutually worked quite well and removed the lines easily. I will try your method once I get some thinner.

Yes Compound will also do the job, but it's easyer with Tamiya Thinner
