Takes a while to start

Hi,

My fiance's 1990 Jeep Cherokee inline 6 is having problems starting. It will start but always turns over 10-15 times. It has also started stalling in parking lots and at stop lights. The idle is not adjustable. It also started having a little erratic idle, sometimes it will idle up to 2,000 rpms for a minute and sometimes it will idle down to 600 rpms. The idle is not always a problem, maybe once every week or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Jordan

Search in the forum for ISA or Idle Stepper Motor. You'll find lot's of hits along with how to check/clean it.
