Hard starting when hot.

I have a 2000 Tahoe with 78000 miles. When it is cold it starts right up, but after it gets warm it is very hard starting. After starting it idles rough then everything is ok. I would appreciate any help.

Re: Hard starting when hot.

Sounds like a falty fuel pressure regulator. After it sets for a little while(for about the same amount of time it takes for it to have the hard start) remove the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator and check for gas, if there is gas in the vacuum line, replace the regulator

Thanks Jeremy,
I checked the fuel pressure regulator and found gas in the vacuum line. I think you hit it right. Could not get the part today, but will tomorrow definately. Thanks so much for your help. Hopefully one day I can return the favor.

Sincerely,
Ray C
