Angry TransmissionFluid&Filter

Do you have to move the crossmember to change the fluid and filter in this suv?-thanks-its a 94-4wd

I dont believe you have to, but I have heard of people doing it just to make things easier to access.

Get a deep tranny pan from www.summitracing.com, comes with a drain plug on it...Outside of that, it is easier to remove the crossmember when changing the tranny fluid and filter...

I just got through changing mine without removing the crossmember. A ‘98 Jimmy.
However, it does take a little dancing with the pan and you need to be very careful when re-installing. You could knock some dirt into a clean pan.
