Short Shifters - PSpec Tuning vs Forbidden Motorsports

I've decided that my next investment will be a short shifter. I've already ruled out those cheap "adapter plates" as i've heard nothing but horror stories about them. And so i've decided between two "true" short shifters.

PSpec Tuning vs Forbidden Motorsports

I've heard nothing but good things from both, but I want fellow prelude owners' opinions.

The PSpec Kit, is slightly more expensive (and out of stock, which is a serious issue at the moment) but also comes with a sleek leather replacement boot, and type-r style heavy metal knob. $160 - Nobody knows when they're gonna be back in stock, which sucks balls hard; They've been out of stock for so long, i've heard its very much wort the wait as they're also redesigning it to work even better than before but then, i've also heard some people have already stopped waiting and switched to.....

The Forbidden Motorsports shifter, a little bit cheaper, but no boot and no knob , which would be this kit's weakness. Although, its always in stock, so I can get it whenever i want, and it comes with "3 adjustable throw settings" - i've never heard any complaints about it, and has got 100% on all reviews i've seen. $125

Do any of you own ones of these? Have any of you driven a car equipped with one?

Any feedback is welcome, and i'm also open to any alternatives, assuming they're not one of those "adapter plates".

Re: Short Shifters - PSpec Tuning vs Forbidden Motorsports

yea i own a forbidden short shifter and i would definately recommend it. I also was debating over the forbidden and the pspec and although i didnt try the pspec i have nothing but awesome things to say about the forbidden. I've never installed anything on my car except a cd player and i was able to do this all by myself which means its a super easy install and its an awesome shift too. Its a bit harder to shift but theirs no grind no nothing just a clean shift. I spent hte extra money on a leather shift boot and also i would recommend a skunk2 knob with it cause hte skunk2's feel real nice and the material is much nicer than the one on the pspec one which is just a wanna be knock off, gl with you decision

New shifters are coming real soon. They have been completely revised again. I think everyone will be very pleased with the changes. Higher quality materials, more advanced machining processes and a more complete kit. Also, the option to buy single parts from the kit. All problems with all current shifters, mine and others, have been addressed and corrected.

I personally design, draft, manufacter and test the kits and I've been real busy this past year

Take care.

That says it all Nothing warrants a change to my design. There is nothing to improve upon, it works flawlessly as is.

Re: Short Shifters - PSpec Tuning vs Forbidden Motorsports

Not here to start anything, just saying that my design has been on the market for a very long time and has never received a bad review and works flawlessly as is. If ever I get a suggestion that I think could improve it, I would consider, but until then I refuse to change something that is tried and tested to be flawless.
