Acura TL v. BMW 330xi v. MB C320 & 2005 BWM
I am very close to probably buying a 2005 Acura TL (I've been a member of http://acura-tl.com enthusiasts board so I'm very keen on the good and bad of the TL). I've been driving my sister's 2003 BMW 325i and LOVE the feel and handling of the automobile; compared to the 2004 TL which is has very loose handling/steering.
My question is for those who have a 330xi (which I have yet to test drive) and how AWD handles in snow? I live in Lost Angeles and hope to take my future automobile up to the mountains during the winter. I know it might be overkill but my last automobile was declared a total loss during a rainstorm (yup, I need all the help I can get!). Also any news on the refreshed 2005 BMW 3 series??? Cheers! |

Looks like you've got one of those Tough/good decisions to make. The new TL is a beautiful car. The interior is out of this world and the updated body gives it an aggresive look. The BMW 330 is just a drivers car plain and simple. From what I hear the all-wheel control of the xi is good but I think a tad overpriced when compared to the 330i. I think you'll be happy with both cars but you'll lose a bit of the driver/road connection if you get the Acura.

You forgot about the Volvo S60R...Its probably even better than the TL and possibly a better bargin than the 330xi

Spring for the Atacama leather package, navigation system with motorized screen, and maybe the Dolby ProLogic II Surround audio system and you won't find any issues with the luxury content in the Volvo. (Even in stock form the S60R has more leather than the other two cars.)
