Exclamation Tsi Leaking

I am looking at a 90 TSi the car is in good shape but it has a problem, the car kind of hesitates when you drive it, it has been sitting up for a while. when you take the car up to about 4000rpm, the boost gauge is at 14lbs and it has problems going past 5000rpm. What does it sound like, the car has has an exhaust leak before the Turbo and i dont know it that could be it....

14 psi could be a false reading if it reads it before the leak, a leak would probaly prevent boost to build, do you hear the waste gate open up, the waste gate prevents the turbo from building up to much pressure. If it has been sitting for a while the gas might be bad. When it sits for a while the molecules cluster up preventing full cumbustion(so i have heard) Weld the leak change the gas and clean the plugs.see what happens.Good luck
