Amp pronblem

Firts of all i wanna say hi to all in the community, since im brand new to this forum i hope i can help as much as i can, well i have this question i bought this 2000w amp for my ford tempo 89, I did all the connections , wich i suppose they where ok, i wired directly from the batt to the amp, and the car doesnt starts at all, is the amp too much for my old car??

You probably killed the batt, I just did that. Went and bought a optima yellow top

Optima costs about 160... I don't have clue how I killed mine to be honest, aside from the fact that it was old.

the manufacturer weighs stuff like performance, cost, reliability, ect ... They only put in an electrical system that can worst case scenario plus maybe 10% or so. If you add more than like a 500-600 watt system, you risk drawing more than the car's electrical system was designed to handle. Batteries give out after a while, if it's more than like 3 years old - you are often better just buying a new one if it starts dying on you.
