Alternatives to replacing defrosters
Just like so many other 3000GTs, my defrosters have popped up. but now they've popped up on both sides, thus broken! AHHH! what's a guy to do? I have new OE defrosters i bought from the dealership, but to put them in you MUST drop the dash b/c they screw in from the bottom, not the top. Soooo, do I drop the dash and install the new ones?? What other alternatives do I have/what did you do about the problem? Any links to help?? Thanks so much.

yea, i did this when i took my dash off, it is an unholy B!+ch to get these dash boards off. i purchased some aluminum vents from smokin vr-4 (that is his name on 3si.org) and i think you just screw them in down from the top but not too sure, i have not tried to install them yet. anyway, with those, even if you do have to take off the dash to install them, they look better and they will not ever crack again so you will not have to worry about them later.
