key stuck in igniton

Hey folk i have an odd problem with my 90' lumina. The key is stuck on. As in i had to turn it off from the motor. It turns fine to restart but wont fall all the way back.

I am wondering if this could be done by the neutral safety switch or if its a shot ignition switch.

Any help would be great. thanks guys!!!

Re: key stuck in igniton

Sounds like the lock mechanism took a turn for the worst. Not sure though.

What has happened is the retainer that holds down the springs in the switch has come lose. The only way to fix is to disasemble the switch or you could replace the whole switch.
