Hahn racecraft

Any one running a hahn kit or know any one with one? Ive been keeping up with the talon build up in Modified Mag and i was wondering if any one was running there turbo kit, and what they thought about it. Im not stupid and i understand that companies pay out the a$$ in parts and labor for these buildups to promote their parts. Just wondering how well they perform for the price, and if they turn the numbers they swear by.

Re: Hahn racecraft

For turbo cars, most people stay away from Hahn on most buys. For turbo kits, I think they are still the monopoly, although if you understand what you are doing, you can be cool like EclipseRST and build it yourself.

I agree, they still have the monopoly on turbo kits. But EclipseRST is not cool.

Re: Hahn racecraft

Why would most people stay away from hahn for stock turboed <its a tuner word i guess lol> cars? The kits dont seem that bad especially for the price. Im kinda skeptical about the internal waste gate on a super 20g where everywhere else on the web insists on an external.

Re: Hahn racecraft

I am too, but SUPPOSEDLY because of the lower turbine housing pressure in the 10cm, you have less to worry about as far as it being blown open. Allowing you to run a larger flapper to control creep. Its all a compromise, and depends largely on what boost pressure you plan to run. I still would run external, its one less thing to have to piss around with later.

I put one on my 95gs about a year ago with 102,000 on the clock and haven't had problems. You need to learn how to control your boost. I have already changed up the kit though with a fmic, new wastegate and shit but it made it faster than my stock gst ,so I started modding on the gst. Here pretty soon I'm gonna strip out the block and beef up the wimpy 420a to handle more boost. hahn sells a stage 3 which has the internals, but I don't know what its made of and therefore I am going somewhere else, with a proven track record for motors. its not a bad deal for the kit. but get ready for some work weather you make your own kit or buy it.
