tach and temp guage bouncing?

When i turn on my hazard lights or turn signal, the tach will bounce and the temp guage would also bounce. I'm not sure what's causing my problem. Before, my car would sputter through low rpm's so i replaced the distributor. Now the car doesn't sputter, but my tach and temp guage still bounces. I was thinking it's a wiring problem or it could be a alt problem?

woah thats an odd one. I think you got some wiring touching or something in the dash. I highly daught its a distributor or alt problem.

Re: tach and temp guage bouncing?

yea, it's most likely something to do with the wiring because the guy who wired up my stuff for my swap did a half ass job. He didn't even solder the wires, just taped them up. So..i'll probably just solder them up so it makes a solid connection.

the last time that happened to mine I ignored it and ended up stranded with a broken alternator.
