No Spark

I recently bought a 93 metro, I don't know much about the car but i got it for $50 because it wouldn't start. The distributor rotates, the coil produces a spark and all my fuses seem to be fine. Any idea on what I can check myself before I have to bring it in to the shop..?? The distributor is new so that shouldn't be a problem, there's two wires coming from the distributor that go to the PCM(?) but i have no clue how to check if that's working fine..
Please help!!!!!

Thanks!

Re: No Spark

Might start by hooking up a test light to the injector harness....to see if the incector is getting the signal to open. Check Fuel pressure, filter, etc. If all is good and still no fuel from the injector....probably a bad injector. Yes, this would require a bit of know-how...and a Volt-Ohm meter to test, but still beats paying at least $50/hr to a shop. Might start by buying a manual for the car, and reading on how to diagnose/check individual components.

Hope this helps.

Re: No Spark

Thanks for replying! I think I left out something in my original post. There is spark if I test a spark plug directly from the coil, but there is no spark if I test after the distributor. Are the two wires coming out of the distributor what's causing the lack of spark?? Are they tied in with the fuel injection? I think it should be narrowed down to where ever those two wires go...
I'm i'm on the right track or way off please let me know!!
Thanks!
Ryan
