X5 4.4 Gas Mileage? Any better than 16.3 mpg?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy every gas slurpping moment under my right foot! I am probably lucky to be getting 16.3 mpg because of my "spirited" driving style. Has anyone gotten a better reading on their on-board computer display? 92 octane is always used with a K&N filter recently installed. Thanks in advance for the responses.

Wink

I feel ya man... I knew this 4.4 guzzled gas. The previous owner got around 15...
I am getting around 10-12.3mpg daily with my trek to... and from work... It's kinda tough.

I get about the same in my '04 4.4 - was hoping the valvetronic would be a bit better, but as you noted, I certainly do enjoy how the X puts all that fuel to use!
