Re: Shading help

Well i think that ref pic would be dificult to use as a template for shading, becuase its really hard to see the changes in the shading and reflection. I would just recommend to look at different car pics and study the reflections and highlights and whatnot..

Re: Shading help

Yes, that would be one hell of a difficuly car to shade. I would suggest trying some ordinary cars first (go to www.fast-autos.net) and then coming back to that at a later date.

Try shading a light colored car first.

Re: Shading help

wut up Punxva,

Like the others have said that is a bad ref pict.

It is bad not only becuase of the graphix but more because of the fact the sun is shining directly on top of the car.

I can tell this by the cast shadow on the track.

You need some ref. picts of cars from early-mid morning or late after noon. Those types of picts will generate many values that you can see.

Choose cars that are darker in paint schemes.

Re: Shading help

I was going to get have all the reflections lined out in PS, but I need to re install it. Something went kaput. I say work on your RX-7 for awhile since you can see the values much better and I will see if I cant get PS reinstalled.
