95 Horn Problems--HELP--
At 2:00am my car horn went off. I went to the car and pushed the horn to see what the problem was...it stopped the horn from blowing. It did the same thing last night...what is going on?

The horn sounds because the horn pad is grounding the horn relay. Take off the air bag (standard disclaimer for precautions on servicing SIR system, yada, yada, yada) . Examine the black wires to the horn contact switch. Try leaving the horn wires disconnected overnite to see if the horn goes off. You might need a new air bag.
In the days before air bags we used to replace the deteriorated foam cushion under the horn pad but I don't know anyone who tried it on a air bag. |

Thanks Jed Rule...I have not removed the airbag yet because I do not know how. I removed the fuse from the Maxfuse, but that killed my antenna, so no tunes.
I'll keep you up to date! Thanks again! |
