I have a 95 GCL that leaks oil. my jeep only leaks right after i shut it off from drving it..as soon as i shut it off 4 drops come out..sometimes it is a constant drip that dies off or sometimes its drops for a lil and dies off...i was told by a mechanic that it was the PVC valves...so i went out baught them and replaced it and it still leaked....the only to things that I can think it could be is the pan gasket or the rear main seal (which will run me $500 to fix) anyone out there have any ideas what to do

Re: Oil leak in 95 Grand Cher. Laredo
Possible excess pressure inside crankcase due to blocked venting. On ours, this forced oil out through dipstick as oil pressure increased with rpm ... with only a few drops to fall after stopping. Check & clear both plastic vent elbows in valve cover. The small tubes between valve cover & manifold -- often fails with age & plugs inside at soft rubber fitting (replacement assembly ~ $13 at dealer). Crud can also stop the large vent & firm plastic pipe at front (to air cleaner).

It turned out that my oil leak was not the rear main seal..instead it was the oil pan gasket which saved me tons of $$$$
