first things first... Check for spark, gas, and uh.... air. After you determine whether those are not. Move on to things like fuses, main relay, etc. Dont just start replacing random things. That gets costly.

take a spark plug wire off the valve cover. Stick a long screwdriver in it. Making sure your not touching any metal part of the screwdriver, put the metal part of it a couple mm away from one of the nuts that holds down the valve cover. Have a friend crank the engine and look for sparks to jump from the screwdriver to the nut.

woah, i have never done it that way.

the best way is to pull out a spark plug and ground it by touching something like your valve cover. crank over and look for spark. no spark = bad ignitor or bad coil.

Sounds like the ignition switch itself to me.

As was said before, check to see if there is spark when you crank the engine over... if there is, I'd go ahead and replace the ignition switch itself... $40 for OEM part from AutoZone, and it never hurts to replace anyways.

So if i have no spark it has to be either the coil or the igniter correct?

if you have ignitor laying around and no spark, i would throw it in. if nothing happens then i would hit the coil next

my buddy with a 5th gen just had no spark and it turned into his o2 sensor being bad.

What?? Thats doesnt make sense... Why did a bad o2 sensor mean no spark?
