Stupid Anti Theft System
can some one please tell me how to reset the anti-theft system on my 1996 cavalier? Every so often you go to start it and the theft system light comes on and flashes and the car will not start for roughly 10 minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 98, I'm not sure this would apply with yours...
1. press 2 and 3 button simultaneously until a code comes up, write it down 2. press your FM button, a second code should come up..write it down 3. well the last step you will have to contact your dealer or perhaps go to: www.j-bom.com (forums), and search under radio/theft systems, you should be able to find some help on obtaining the last set of numbers. every car has a different set of numbers. hope this helps
