Can an LS tow a trailer?

The owner's manual suggests no, and no trailer hitch kits available. A cars.com article suggests 1,500-2,000 lbs for a V8. Anyone out there know for sure?

yes it can - but - uni-body cars are not rated since they do not have the 'frame strenght' to tow large amounts. The engineers suggested the LS could handlw about 1000lbs with a careful driver.

Re: Can an LS tow a trailer?

I'm pretty sure my '00 OM says it's rated for 2000lbs, but only 500lb tongue weight.
