Question PVC and ERG Valve Location 99 Trooper

I'm trying to find the location of both of these since they seem to be much less expensive to install then the shops want to charge.

EGR valve: Facing the engine, a small can sized solenoid at the rear of the left valve cover. (left rear corner of lower intake manifold) Very easy to get at.

PCV valve: Facing the engine, it's threaded/inserted into the right side valve cover. It's got about a 3/8" rubber (vac) line attached. You may need to pull off the black plastic intake cover first. Another very easy to service item.
G/luck

I am looking for the egr valve on my 99 trooper. Isn't it in front of the engine behind the air intake? The rear of the left valve cover is next to the firewall. I suspect we are talking about different things. Could you clarify for me? I too have a oil consumption issue. I have replaced the pcv, and added Techron to the gas, and sea foam to the engine oil.
