Re: check engine light

Sounds many like the EGR valve... I had to have mine replaced after about 130,000 miles. That will cause the light to go on off... Should have an error code in memory then... Also... I was told by my dealership to replace my cam/crank sensor when it was actually the EGR valve... You should remove it and see if there is a lot of carbon built up. I do believe the crank and cam sensor both connect to the ignition mod. then that goes to the PCM.... a crank or cam sensor might cause the RPM gage to bounce a little... In 4 years I've done it all to my car, new engine, rebuilt trans... it's like a new car...

Re: check engine light

If they say it's a shorted wire, why didn't they fix it?

Unhappy Re: Re: check engine light

Because they say they can't find the wire that it screwed up and that it will take hours to trace all the wiring.

From what i know most of times it is your PCM ,but you can not be sure until you check it. and make sure that is the problem.
As far code 341 it could be is your timming chain or cam magnet on cam pully.but never know til you check it

isn't 42 The EST signal did not change when the ECM applied bypass voltage to the ignition module ?? what the heck dose that mean because they told me it was a cam sensor error.

Re: check engine light

Well the information on that wire.. if it's the check engine light right... that's the Brown/White wire coming out of the gage cluster. It's on the 16pin connector, "A3" on the connector, from what I have read that wire goes right to the PCM... And on the PCM it's on the white connector "D13".

Re: check engine light

The PCM is right behind the glove box... the black panel above your feet on the pass. side can be removed and you can access the connectors there... I think I have been wrong... are you talking about a wire from from check engine light to PCM or A the wires from the Cam sensor?
