'93 PA electrical gremlins

first, some background... i recently put new batt and starter in the car. while at the parts store i had to have the new batt and a jumper to get the starter to kick over enough to start the car. it was on it's very last leg. so... with all that juice i think it may have caused my current problem. all systems seem to work normal, it is just that a few things work too well. alarm will go off for no reason, trunk will open by itself, radio comes on by itself as well as the map lights. this is all while it is sitting in the parking lot at work, not running, key out of ignition. like i said everything does work and it runs normal. i did unhook the batt to reset the computer and the alarm has not gone off since but, it still does the other crazy stuff. i did pull the codes with the malfuction indicator lamp "that may be a ford term" and only got code "12" over and over. besides finding a good priest does anyone have some helpful info. sorry for the long post. kc

sounds like after market alarm on the car
remove the alarm sys

I would guess that when you replaced the battery and starter one of the wires did not get reconnected properly, or is broken and is making intermittant contact.
