Iroc z28

Hey guys, I'm primarily a 94+ mustang guy, (i like the older camaros better though) I have some questions about the iroc z28. My friends dad told me a story that when he had his porsche, he was going about 95 on the freeway, and someguy in an iroc pulled up waved, and took off. This got me pretty interested in the Iroc's. Where can I learn about them (good websites?) Also why aren't there very many on ebay?

Thanks

Re: Iroc z28

well, i had my RS for a while, nothing much but would beat an integra type R, then i bought the IROC, damn scared the shit out of me the first time i drove her. thing is crazy fast, and got lots of potential on that. i love that car. was doin 100+ over the blue ridge mountains one handed, near zero body roll, without breaking a sweat. slowed down once i realized how fast i was going to avoid cops.

Re: Iroc z28

yeah i would love to go out to arizona with her, find out her top speed, its gotta be up there, no restrictor, L98, headers, exhaust, and 2.77 gears i didnt have the balls to try it out on the trip home from arkansas, and no where around here where i live to do it. well, not without putting other people at risk, which im not willing to do.

mine goes to 115, earlier 3rd gen models only read to 85, the rest are 115 and 145.

How Can you guys live wit those 85mph speedos? or even 115? You can get aftermarket ones that say 145, or i even i seen Forbird ones that say 160mph on them..
