Newly aquired 94 4x4 s-10 wont start...

I just purchased a 94 S10 blazer from a wholesale guy in town, the truck was traded in to a local dealer and is a one owner vechicle. It has 154k on it and is in great shape as far as appearance and interior. I started teh truck up and drove it around town all day. I went back handed $1000 in cash and went on my merry way with my "bargain" truck... Well i drove it around all the rest of teh day showing it off so proud.. I get it home and it stalls in the driveway and hasn't started back up.. I sprayed starting fluid in and it started for a brief second then died again...I don't hear the fuel pump running but i am not sure if i should be able to it has the 4.3l VORTEC motor. I bought the haynes manual and it is a useless POS... What besides the pump itself could be wrong as in relays and where are they located? Also the volt meter was at 19v while driving.......any ideas? thanks for the help i really need it.

ok i checked the voltage past the oil pressure fuel pump relay and it was fine so i am guessing that the pump is defective, i am going to replace the pump the strainer and the fuel filter.

I've got a 94 S10 Bzr 4.3L, as for my fuel filter, I can hear it very easily when I turn the ignition.

Now, when/if you change your fuel punp, check your tank, a common problem on these is... on the underside of the tank they put rubber strips over the straps. Dirt and debris gets in between the straps and tank, slowly eating away at the tank as it grinds. I recently changed my tank, pump, and sending unit. I only found that I had a slow gas leak, because my fuel pump died on me. This could have been a much bigger problem.

Well i pulled the tank today...That was a big crappy job. It appears to be in great shape, no rust or holes . I removed the pump after wrestling with the stupid cam lock thing for an hour. I will install the pump in the morining and try to get the tank back up...BTW man the haynes is useless. IF the pump still doesn't run it's probably the oil pressure sensor switch right? if so is it on the drivers side firewall? thx

Well replacing the pump worked great! Wrestling the tank back up was pretty tough by myself..but i got it.. Not so many responses to my questions...but 5 hours of searching helped me out a lot. Lets keep the s10 forum going by helping who we can and posting solutions when you fix the problems. thx
