I really love parking meters

no i dont love them..sluts

I had to drop some stuff off to my grandma[who lives in the city, so parking is a rarity] and I park my car outside in a parking meter bay but I have no money. So I quickly decide to go up to my grandma's apartment and get some change, as I return in the matter of like 50 seconds there I have a parking fine!

a measly $35 fine! wtf! and the frickin' parking tickets person bailed as well. I was looking for that c**t, I was gonna shout his ass off..

p.s: I do have the money but now I gotta pay it, and well, I cant be f*cked...

Take something worth $35 from the city...like a stop sign.

I'm kidding.

You can always apply for one of those city issues permits that allow you to park at any meter without having to pay. Its similar to the handicap ones but its only for meter parking and No parking zones.
Tickets here in NY are close to $50.:22yikes:

How do you receive one of those?

Depends on the city I guess, but I am sure most metro areas have them. Here in NY City you can go to the Dept of Motor Vehicles website and get the information. The only problem is that you have to have someone get a paper signed by a doctor stating that they cannot walk for too long of a distance. Thats it. I got mine cause my step mom got the letter signed. Once its signed you send it in and in less than two weeks the permit comes in.
It really is cool, cause it allows you to park at any meter without fear of getting a ticket. Plus you can park in authorized vehicle only places. (Ambulances, police, city offices) For example, I had to go to downtown Manhattan and that is a bitch getting parking, plus the indoor parking lots are expensive. I ended up parking in the section only authorized for government offiicals. Really cool.

Re: I really love parking meters

Haha those permits are a joke! I got one for work and half the time the dumbass meter maids dont look in hte window to see that i do have one, so i still have go to court and prove i have it, I never have to pay but its still a pain in the ass!

I did not know they hired blind people as meter officers.

I have these permits for the last 3 years and only once did I get a ticket and it was because I had my emission sticker expired by a few days and forgot to renew it. but never because of the permit. Could it be where you place the permit? The ones we have are quite large.

At my university there is almost no parking especially now that they decided to take away a parking lot to build the third museum within a one block radius! No one goes to the other two museums why would you build a third one! dumbasses. Anyways there is a parking lot next to the gym where i work out so i park there every once and a while even though it requires a parking permit, but there are literally 7 cars in a 50 car parking lot and it's summer time so no one goes to the gym and sure enough I get two parking tickets in two days parking there. I probably have like 7 or 8 tickets total from the university but on different cars. Its a good thing I'm not a student anymore or i would have to pay them

yeah the fines range up to $200 in some spots here!!?

I wouldnt pay it but since its on the street its under city jurisdiction and they WILL take you to court and charge you extra. With most parking companies I never pay the ticket and they dont do shit..
