dirty/faded headlights 1989 gt conv
anyway to make the dingy old headlight look new? already cleaned it-no results.

take some chrome polish or some turtle wax and rub it on there like you would anything else, circle motions, then buff it out and there ya go, good as new

If you can't get em clean, I highly recommend new headlights. i got em for mine and it made a huge difference. try lookin at texasmustang.com

I used mothers wheel polish on my eclipse and it worked great; just in case you didn't check out the other thread.

use a fine grit sand paper, and wet sand the headlights. (If your headlights are starting to yellow and shit) the yellow stuff will come out in the water. Then apply 3M Rubbing compound, and it will look good as new..unless you have tiny cracks in them. You have to wax them every month so the yellowing doesnt come back.

Some one was telling me yesterday that after doing all the sanding and polishing that if you hit it with a couple coats of clearcoat after it helps fill some of the scratches on the plastic lense.

Some body shops will clear the lights for you.
I have seen clear used on them before, but I have never done it myself.
