Who else is a die hard Anit-Drug supporter in here?

It seems that I am in a realm of my own lately... Half of my friends are in re-hab for Coke, THC, and Perscription Addictions.

Why? For what? What has it gotten anyone? Why not get a high off flying down a race-way at 140MPH in a Twin Turbo Zed?

It all just seems silly to me... Risking so much, for no apperent reason.

Most of the kids I know that do it... Do it for ONE reason only. It is the cool thing to do now-a-days. Little nineth grade girls, who may have had something going for them, are now constantly Coked out of their minds, or popping OxyContin in the middle of class.

most people I know go with weed and alcohol, not for any reason, just because they started and always wanna do it now... they always talk about how it costs so much and that they are gonna quit cuz its dumb yet they can't... I don't see why people think its cool to begin with

i smoked weed hardcore for the last year of highschool then quite for 10 months and now i smoke at parties or on the odd occasion, trust me its an easy drug to quit. Drinking on the other hand i cant stop if i wanted too....

Now Im not one of those kids who go around preeching how bad drugs are and such... And have never had any experience with them.

I have seen first hand what the problem is... And what it causes. Some legal issues, and some personal modivation issues. (Not me, most of my friends)

All-State D1 Prospect Lacrosse players are now Coke heads who care nothing about anything but laying a few lines.

Hey, if you want to do drugs... Fine. Thats your deal, and im not going to deter you from it.

I personally... Will never do ANY drug. And when I do drink, I will do so discriminately.

I agree I really don't see what people love drugs so much.

If I want to get relaxed, I'll just go to a movie and chill while eating some popcorn and a cola, or my newest relaxation method: got to the local bookstore and read a car mag while eating a cheesecake in their cafe.

If I want to get a rush I'll go autox-ing, or to a rave club.

Why would I do drugs when I can get the same result trough other means.

I go to barnes and nobles all the time and chill, they have some comfy chairs haha

I think chics would be happier with a guy going to a movie eating popcorn that getting high on his couch...

plus even going to a movie 5 days a week would be cheaper than drugs

I get high on life. Reality is my drug now (other than caffeine and alcohol).

Used to do some stuff in the past, but afterwards asked myself "why?"...it was dumb and I'm glad I grew out of the "drugs are cool" phase.

Some people need a chemical to give them a relaxing high....I know of many honourary students that take the occasional drug (weed of course, nothing hardcore) Theres a differnece between an alcoholic and an ocasional drinker, same thing is said for those who smoke weed

I've done many drugs in my days. Now, it's pretty much just beer and the occasional shot. No more weed, coke, acid ,shrooms. I don't down people who smoke weed. I could care less. It does'nt do much for me anymore, except make me really hungry. Reality is slightly over-rated. If you got lots of cash, and time. Well, reality can be your best friend. But, I have niether. So I'll stick to my beer.

straight edge is cool, comes to you from the band minor threat. some believe that minor threat is just trying to get everyone to stop everything and quit populating the world, not true, but still funny to hear people say that shit. straight edge isnt just about no drinking or drugs, it is also about no sex. it would take a real strong mind to be straight edge, i for one am not
