Angry whineing 2000 gp

ive heard about whineing sounds being caused by exaust leakes . my car makes a whineing sound when accell above 1500 rpm sometimes in park. this is a hard problem to find ,the powersteering only whines a little in park when i turn the wheel. how can i check for exaust leak please help sound is really annoying. thanks to all

Personally, I never heard an exhaust leak make a whining noise..... more like ticking, tapping, or puffing sounds. That doesn't mean it can't happen, just means I've never heard it. Is your car an SE, GT, or GTP?

I'd try to narrow down exactly where the noise is coming from.

its a 3.8 gt i here some light ticking when im in parknear buildings just under full trottel i hers some noise from under the hood like a vibration
