Labor cost

How much did you spend on the labor for putting in a:

1. apexi super AFC
2. Turbo - complete kit
3. Header and Cat.

Just want to know so I can adjust my project accordingly. You will not be held responsible for your answer in anyway.

Thanks.

it depends if it is a complete turbo kit or just the turbo...what kind of fuel management and how much tuning is needed.

Re: Labor cost

Question you gotta ask him is....does he want to put it in himself..obviously not...plus If something stupid goes wrong, you can blame someone else and make them fix it

Expect about 2 days (8 Hr Days) for a Turbo Kit with 2 experienced guys, maybe a lil less

AFC....a couple of hours.....maily soldering wires and adjusting it

Lol...if you have a turbo you have no header...(damn Newb) he cat can go on during the turbo install.

Best idea is to read a couple of books before you waste your money, I now know why you are looking for an install price

Haha, I am a turbo newb, but I've been doing my hw, and reading up the misc threads in this forum. I think I've spent about 10 hours over a spam of a week, just in this forum.

And I put in that header choice separate from the turbo, is b/c I consider the turbo manifold included in the turbo kit, which 'manifold' is different from 'header' IMHO. It's b/c at this stage, I am still not sure if I should go turbo, or just do the basic i/h/e and save the $.

And since I am asking for the labor cost, that implies I am not planning to install it myself, since I live in an apt, don't have the area to work on my car, nor the tools. But mostly, I lack the know-how, even if I study this forum like a Holy Bible.

Anyways, thanks for the help and comments, and the smily faces.

Re: Labor cost

Just assume roughly $60.oo per/hr x lets say worse case senario 20 hr.
If you can find good labor for $30 per/hr then there you go $600.00

By the way...what do you drive?

Re: Re: Labor cost

I drive a ricemobile, a 97 Accord. But I don't want to make my car look fast before it can go faster than a bunny, no body kits no ghey APC stickers. I don't plan to race nor out run cops. Just want my 4 cyl run better than the V6 Acura Legned I got used to driving for the past 6 years. Had I want to race, I'd had sold my car and went for a true ricemobile, a civic. pffft.

Go ahead, laugh at this car noob ---> Jed
