update on 5th gen JDM swap!!

Hey everyone - been a while since i was in this forum... Just wanted to let everyone know that i got my car started... (98 Prelude SH with a JDM H22A and H23 Tranny) it cranked over, coughed and hacked a few times, then it kicked over and idled funky for a sec.. but smoothed out a bit. Not bad considering half the vacuum hoses were disconnected and the gas is over a year old!

It was music to my ears... may not seem like a big deal but the project took place over the course of a year and a few months in the parking lot at my apartment complex.

You took out ATTS, right? And I sure hope it was h22a-S and not regular JDM... Cool stuff, regardless man. Grats.

i sure did... (take the ATTS out) still workin on the drivetrain a bit - gotta replace a clip on one of the cv boots... and put the brakes back together. as for the Type S.... didn't have the cash - hence puttin a JDM motor in there and ditchin the ATTS - it was CHEAPER

Whatya know... the ATTS light on the dash comes on - damn thing aint workin... i wonder why.... mayce cuz it's GONE??????

i'm confused... was there something wrong with your other motor? i don't see why you would waste the time any money to ditch atts, and switch to a motor with the same hp. i imagine there's a reason. i was just curious.
